Music and Worship

The Music & Worship Ministry of FBC is committed to the local congregation. Our hope each week is for the church to be reminded what we know to be true: that God sent His Son into the world to redeem lost sinners. Our singing together prepares our hearts to hear and respond to the Word of God. Our philosophy of worship is three-fold:

1. Scripture-saturated & Christ-centered

The contents found in the Word of God are the best inspiration for congregational singing. The music we sing together will reflect God’s Word in totality.

2. Musically singable & fine-tuned

Our music will be conducive to large-group singing and not just for the trained elites. We will sharpen our skills while at the same time preparing our hearts, recognizing that the music we sing and play is an offering. God deserves the very best in our offerings to Him.

3. Evangelistic & edifying

The gospel is always relevant. For those who have yet to receive Christ, our music will present the gospel as an evangelistic tool so that lost sinners might come to repentance. For those who have been in a relationship with the Lord for some time, singing the gospel again reminds us of God’s immaculate grace and our dire need for a Savior.

Ministry Opportunities

Various opportunities exist for you to serve directly in the FBC Music & Worship Ministry.

The Sanctuary Choir is open to anyone and everyone that wants to sing. It's a casual atmosphere where you'll sing great choral music and enjoy fellowship with other believers. The choir leads in the 10:45 service hour and rehearses on Wednesday nights at 6:30 in the Music Suite.

The Vocal Team is a select group of individuals that help lead us in worship during both hours on Sunday morning.

If you're an instrumentalist, the Worship Band or Sanctuary Orchestra is a great place to serve. These are tight-knit groups that love to play whenever they get a chance. Members have the option of playing in one or both service hours.

Got kids? 252 Kids Praise meets every Sunday night for great music and fun games.

If you are interested in using your talents in any of these areas, contact Pastor Logan Brasher at logan@firstbaptistgray.org or 487.986.3098 ext. 4
