OUR

MINISTRIES

Ministries are the lifeblood of FBC-G. Not only are disciples made through the teaching of the Word, but community is built among the brothers and sisters that call FBC-G home. Check them out below to see where your gifts can best serve the Lord and His church.

Kid's Ministry

We value children as a great gift and responsibility from God. We desire to partner with parents during this fun phase of discovery to build a firm foundation of faith. Our leaders realize the importance of these formative years and that their experiences determine the kind of person your child will become. We want our children to become all that God intended them to be.

Students

Building on biblical foundations established in childhood, the student ministry exists to sharpen one another "as iron sharpens iron" (Proverbs 27:17). This is done through small groups, weekly worship services, and community-building events.

Music & Worship

The Music & Worship Ministry is committed to the local congregation. Our hope each week is for the church to be reminded what we know to be true: that God sent His Son into the world to redeem lost sinners. Our singing together prepares our hearts to hear and respond to the Word of God.

Missions

At First Baptist Church, we do not take the commands of our Savior lightly. We view missions through an Acts 1:8 perspective, where Jesus states, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Our first goal is to reach the community of Gray where God has placed us. However, we also work to reach our state, our nation, and our world so that all may see Jesus.

Orphan and Foster Care

"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." James 1:27

Begun in November of 2010 FBC began its Adoption/Orphan Care Ministry by introducing various options of becoming involved in adoption and orphan care. We recognize that not every family is called to adopt, but we do believe that every Christian is called to embrace adoption however God calls them.
